The 123-unit, Art Deco-inspired Rose Hill community rises 45 stories in the borough’s NoMad neighborhood.
Rockefeller Group has opened Rose Hill, a 123-unit luxury condo high-rise in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. Designed by CetraRuddy, the company’s first residential building in the borough rises 45 stories and more than 600 feet. Lendlease served the general contractor.
Situated at 30 E. 29th St., between Park Avenue S. & Madison Avenue, the property is in the proximity of Madison Square Park, while the 28th Street station on the BMT Broadway Line is around the block. The historic neighborhood where the project came online used to be known as Rose Hill, named after a 130-acre farm that formerly occupied the site.
Topped out in late 2019, the Art Deco-inspired high-rise offers studio to four-bedroom units in a variety of layouts. Some condos comprise private outdoor spaces, including the top floor penthouses.
TIMELY AMENITIES
Common-area amenities include a fully equipped fitness center, a professional squash court, as well as a health and wellness club with 50-foot indoor pool. Coworking spaces with access to the garden courtyard, along with two libraries curated by Strand Books, are also available on-site. The 37th floor is home to a private residents’ club with dining room, game room and outdoor barbecue area.
The owners have responded to the new health requirements dictated by the pandemic, with the installation of high-efficiency air filters in all community areas. CORE has been appointed to handle the sale and marketing efforts of the tower. Unit prices range between roughly $1.4 million for studios up to $19.5 million for the four-bedroom options.
The company behind the iconic Rockefeller Center was founded in 1928. Last July, the Rockefeller Group took a stake in the residential portion of a $530 million mixed-use development in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood, joining its original investor, Selig Development.
